Volunteer Fingerprinting

Parents who volunteer for certain activities are required to be fingerprinted. This applies to any situation where a parent may be alone with a student without a teacher or administrator present. Examples include field trips, musical supervision, and serving as a chaperone.

Once approved, your clearance remains valid until your youngest child graduates from high school, or the Office of Student Protection updates its requirements.

For parents who also wish to serve as a volunteer driver, an additional Driver Form must also be completed. These forms go to your building secretary once completed.

Because the fingerprinting process can take several weeks, we encourage families to plan ahead if they are interested in volunteering.
